I managed to convince the family to let me run out and grab a cap as we approached Athabasca ... couldnt have picked a better PnG. Perfectly clean and exposed cap, easily findable from the survey post and 100% readable. A quick jot down of the numbers, a couple of snapshots and back on the road again :)

This was one of the closest caches to our location and this one was so easy to access! This is our 14th brass cap to find :) Overall this is find #1288 for us. Thanks again for making brass caps an awesome type of cache experience!

We came back to this brass cap the next day to show our friend LeoCaching43 what a brass cap was. He was surprised at how easy it was to find it/

With a few days booked off we headed out on a caching and capping trip with a few objectives. Those objectives included having some fun and grabbing a few caches for various goals and challenges we have set for ourselves.

Wow it's been a long while since we found this cap. Just trying to get caught up again. It's always a pleasure to roam Alberta in search of the Brass.

This would be the last cap for today. We had not been to the town before and were impressed with the topography and great views. We checked out the river front park, reading all the story boards to get a sense of the history of the place. After that we went for a few hikes around the terrific trails that surround the University of Athabasca. What a wonderful setting for this well known center of learning.

Thanks for giving us an extra incentive to visit Athabasca ofth. It was well worth the trip.
