I began this morning with a plan to look for 4 caps In Fish Creek Provincial Park west of Macleod Trail and then look for another 4 in the park but east of Macleod Trail. This all unfolded according to plan. I still had a little time on my hands so decided to look for another pair in SE Calgary. I ended the day with a search for a geocache near the last cap. Thanks to ofth and vdD for setting up and maintaining these activities. I made a note of all the numbers and will add a few photos when I am near my photo software. This was brass cap #4 for today.

A Mother's Day family geobike in Fish Creek park fit the bill for today as an excuse to grab a few more caps and a caches in an area we don't get to too often. We park at 24th St SW and criss crossed the park up and down the hills that border the valley to grab the caps. It was a steep hill to get to this one! Once at GZ it took a few minutes to spot the cap and then the hint!

I managed to convince One Bad Ant that with the impending doom.... er, I mean, the upcoming change in logging rules, that we should do a blitz of Brass Caps, since she really hasn't found that many, and I wish I had tried to find more when I had the chance. Hindsight, eh? Hopefully I remember to send all the photos! This was the first one today after attending the CITO. We didn't think we'd get that many caps as the weather was supposed to be varying types of precipitation today. We just planned to cap as long as we weren't going to get drenched! We had a nice walk to the cap, and happened upon some white-tailed deer along the way! They were quite curious as long as we were far enough away, but flashed their white butts and bounded away when we got closer. TFTCap!!

With the pending GC changes, I set out to grab some caps with a new sense of urgency. This will be one of several found today.

After grabbing the 9 caps yesterday, I set out a grab a few more today while walking FCP. I relocated to find this one on the other side of the park. This one was to be the challenge of the day. It seemed pretty obvious where it was and the logs indicated it was found recently. Fortunately, I found a nearby tool to do some prodding. It turned up just where the prior logs indicated it would be. It's hard to believe how quickly these caps can get buried again.

Thanks for the cap.
