After finding the cap at Frains, this was my next major port of call, but not before passing through and checking out Lac la Biche. I'd never been there before so I took the time to drive around town a while.

Then after the short drive south it was off on the side road to make an easy find of this pristine cap.

Thanks for the cap!

Cap in great shape.

Due to the rain around the central and north-eastern portions of the province we cut our long weekend short from a trip to Lacombe, and getting very little caching done in the process. As we still had a day we finally took the opportunity for a caching road trip out towards Lac La Biche and points further west, that we have been discussing all spring.

This was our fifth stop today for a cache/cap. These unincorporated areas always have some hidden history but it is hard to find. Perhaps, Craigend is named after Craigend Castle. The lands of Craigend north of Milngavie, in East Dunbartonshire, central Scotland were part of the Barony of Mugdock in medieval times. The castle is now a ruined country house and the stables serve as the county visitor centre.

The road in was a little muddy but otherwise it was quick stop for the required picture.

Thanks for the Cap, OFTH!
