Marcus was trying to bail water out of the hole so we could get a good look at the cap. It's quite scratched so it would be hard to read even without water on it. TFTC

Mrs BVPete and I have wanted to see the memorial to the fallen Mounties in Mayerthorpe ever since it was created. Today was the day and we both found it to be very moving, brave men and women doing a tough job.

The drive to the cap was without incident and the required photo was taken.

Thanks for posting this cap ofth, in this town which suffered such a terrible tragedy.

Ever thankful for the routing from the automotive GPS, I was able to navigate the quiet streets of Mayerthorpe over to the tracks on the edge of town and make a quick find on this one. I guess I'm lucky it was a Sunday as there was quite a few piece of heavy equipment very close to the cap.

Thanks for the cap!
