In order to earn our Mission GC souvenir this weekend we needed to travel at least 70 - 80 km. In that range there were two choices and both had a BCP nearby, too! It took an old, possibly haunted, house at the multi cache's final to tip things in favour of Stettler.

Once the multi was done, it was time to find the BCP. Icing on the cake, so to speak, and the cap puts us in position for a nice walk, a requirement before we headed back. We noted the "Private Crossing, Use at your own risk" sign just before the crossing of the tracks. Apparently, they are not busy enough with Alberta Prairie Steam Tours to even justify any traffic slowing device other than that small sign. We had a faint hope that a vintage train would pass while we were nearby, but it didn't. As previously noted, the cap is covered by pink. It's the flag from the utility marker flag that CanadianRockies mentioned minus its wire stem. Now the plastic is held in place with a small stone. A bit odd but we put it all back as it does make the cap stand out better in the long grass. Underneath the plastic, the cap was wet and shining with minor marks, deeply stamped numbers and very little of the pink paint that it was sprayed with in 2013. Photos taken, it was now time to continue our walk. There were a couple of caches along the way, too, happy coincidence, not planned, I assure you. Thanks for the cap, outforthehunt.

This cache was excavated and covered with a pink cover which made it easy to locate. Being as close to the tracks as it is that made me glad to grab it and get out. Kids sand tracks are not a great combination.
