We were out having a grand day on the mountains with family and friends. We were up since a little after 5am this morning and drove down from the campground near Alberta Beach. The cap was easy to locate. I took a few pics and recorded the number then relaxed for awhile and took in the view. Thanks for the remote cap up a multi use trail.

I received the word from mister Hollow that a trip up to Kiska Lookout was in order. So I perused the Lookout hike guide and noticed a moderately long hike of 15 km each way was our destiny. But lo and behold SH had other plans for us . "Lets do a round trip of 42 km and throw in 18 stream crossings". Did I mention the prescribed route in the guide had zero creek crossings?

We biked as far as was logical, not all of us are Vulcan so logic occasionally escapes us. We then hiked the last 5 or so kilometers to the lookout. Wonderful views awaited us from the lookout site. Lunch and a nap were the next orders of business while the other members of the group continued to hide caches.

Our return trip was a hoot as the bikes soared downhill.

A fun, long, long day. Thanks Don and Larry for inviting me along.
