This was the second cap on our big drive today, unfortunately the weather was starting to deteriorate with a bit of a drizzle and big clouds blowing in. Never the less, we went for a walk in the Thompson Creek campground to check it out. Not many campers in there today. Takin it Easy's rock surround was still in place so it was an easy find. Then we continued towards Hwy 93 and Jonas Creek to the north of the ice fields center.

Thanks for posting this cap ofth.

It has been a while since we last drove the David Thompson Highway. This was the first cap we found. Cap is in excellent condition. Thanks for another brass cap.

Now this is a fine location just east of the Banff Park boundary on Highway 11. The cap is nicely marked with a round rock circle and a near by white stake which is similar to the Fish Lake cap to the east. Thanks for setting this one up OFTH!

We were up in Rocky Mtn House for a few days to visit our son on his birthday and decided to spend the morning hiking up past Siffleur Falls. Mrs. TiE, Tyler and I really enjoyed the scenery of the Siffleur Canyon and falls. When we got back to the car, this unfound cap was only 15km further down the road so we decided to go and check it out. There was a convenient spot to pull out near the cap and the 4x4 marker post was visible from the road. The cap was not immediately visible, but after checking the hint for the cap position relative to the post, we quickly uncovered it and grabbed the required info. What a great location! We surrounded the cap with a ring of rocks in case the ground cover grows over it again, but it would still be an easy find. Thanks for the cap OFTH!
