After parking off the road and sparking up the 4-ways, I made my way up to the top of the ditch to find an obvious stake, a bunch of flagging tape, but no cap.

Okay, cap, if that's the way you're going to be...

I returned to the car, gathered "the tools" and made my way back up the incline. After firing up the metal detector I found the cap in all of 5 seconds under a layer of dirt and moss. I guess the threat of all those tools is all it took.

Thanks for the cap!

We had a few things to do this morning around the capital city and decided to take a short drive to check out a few caps and had the good fortune of finding this one. The snow was deep at this spot, but you couldn't miss the survey tape that marked the cap site. Thanks OFTH for setting this one up.

The pink flagging near the cap could be seen from a distance and finding the cap was just a matter of making our way up the slope and moving some snow around. We were well practiced at that today, so it turned out to be a quick one.
