Iron Phoenix and I had a fantastic caching and capping from Calgary to Red Deer. There have been a number of caps that I felt like I had looked for them, but maybe didn't log them. This one I hunted for before unsuccessfully. This time the construction threatened the location, but we were lucky to come at it from the back side, slip around, and found the cap!! It took less time to find than when I was hunting last time. I think last time I looked was very early in my cap hunting. Jump a ditch, walk around a fence and try and look nonchalant while being watched by a bunch of construction works. Despite all this after a few minutes of looking the cap was found. 2017-04-30T20:00:00 Found it KinderKen BCP021 - Red Deer I headed back up to Red Deer today to find a few more brass caps and this was the second of five. It was on the other side of the chain link fence in the construction area so I continued a bit south to where I could go around the end of the fence. Then it was a fairly quick find. Thanks for the cap and the information is on it's way. 2017-04-29T20:00:00 Found it Bearberrys Cub BCP021 Red Deer N 52° 16.050 W 113° 49.965 I wasn't really sure I was going to go to Red Deer this morning until I got up, checked the weather and the brass cap page. Even though the forecast was for some rain, the temperatures were supposed to hit the double digits so I decided to go. Since I was not familiar with navigating around Red Deer, I had some back and forth but all in all it wasn’t too bad. There was construction in the area, I think a football field is being redone. In any case, it took me a bit of walking before I found the path and got to GZ. I used co-ordinates from a previous log which helped with the find. Then, of course, I found a more direct way back to my vehicle. Pictures have been sent to OFTH.
