Talking with another geocacher over Stampede and he mentioned Brass Caps. Hmm, I've heard of it, I said, but I really had no idea what it was. So after looking into it a wee bit, I realized there would be a Brass Cap along the trail we were going to do this week. So I'm not sure I'm doing everything correctly, but here goes. It was such a great view, and so nice to have this marker here.

Hiked yesterday in the heat. I hadn’t done the research to even know this was up there, but as I sat down to rest I placed my backpack right beside it! Nice bonus!

This seems like a good one to start with. I guess I will start logging these on here now :)

Out for a family geohike on the Praire View trail from Barrier dam when we found the cap in the rock. We had a fine loop by descending W towards the Jewel pass trail then back to the Jewel bay campground and along the lake. A fine 15km hike with the super geokids.
