I parked down near the (odd!) cap and found it easily, then succumbed to sitting in silence as an amazing sunset performed over the lake. Golden hour is quite the show around these parts. This brass cap was our first stop and we decided to just park the vehicle and visit the other caches and the lake edge on foot. I've driven past this area many times but never stopped for the cap. I got my car to the right area and then started the muddy attempt to get to the cap. I found a better way back! Once I got up to the marker post the cap was quickly located, as well as a surprise.
