Judging by past logs, this might be the rare cap that has gotten easier to find over time. One has to kind of crawl under the bush now, but it’s sitting a bit AGL. An interesting “cap”, thanks! I also found the Alberta Parks cap at the front of the campground for fun.

Took me a while to find this one, there ws some flagging tape in the bush near by and i kept focusing on that area, downloading some context shots and I was able to zero in with the compass and find the proper area.

Mrs Shark Sr was out for a drive with us today and that was the primary purpose of our trip. Still it's hard for us to pass up a perfectly good cap, especially for Mr Shark. So when his mom assured us that she didn't mind at all if we stopped for our second cap for the day, he promptly drove in, thoughtfully parked the Sharkmobile in the shade and fairly ran off in search of this odd version of a cap! Not addicted at all you understand, just enthusiastic!

This time Mrs Shark Sr couldn't see us from the vehicle as we searched so she didn't see that we didn't walk right up to this cap as we did at BCP244 or our elation a couple of minutes later when Mr Shark found what there is here to find.

Not seeing any flagging tape remaining, we tied a piece straight behind the cap hopefully beyond the reach of any tree pruning. Once again it was the logs and context pictures of previous finders that helped us find this one and the flagging will hopefully be a help to future seekers.

This time it was memories from Mrs Shark's side of the family that were brought to mind. Her parents and a couple they were very good friends with spent many wonderful times at this lake camping, fishing and enjoying each others' company.

Thanks for another cap and more memories.

The area was quiet when I arrived, but a group had arranged their chairs at a nearby picnic table as if they were going to the audience for my cap hunt. Looks like I was early for the show and I was glad for that. Like others, I found the “cap” in pretty short order, but it wasn't a cap but probably the “roots” of a former cap?

Just for a sense of closure I felt bound to take a “cap” picture despite there not being a “cap”.

Thanks for the “cap”!
