Figures I would find it in the dark and couldn't spot in the morning sun under perfect conditions. Oh well, nice to clean up the caps in Fort and head over to High Level for the night - thanks OFTH for setting this one up! 2012-08-21T20:00:00 Found it Sears Tower BCP446 - Fort Vermilion After finishing some work in the Red Earth area, we headed north on one of Alberta's %$#@iest "highways - well, at least for now it is as they are working on paving 100k or so. Once in FV, we made a quick find of the well exposed cap. #1 of the day TFTH! 2012-07-09T20:00:00 Didn't find it Takin it Easy BCP446 Fort Vermillion Posted: N58° 23.174 W116° 00.715 This one seemed pretty easy. Just over 2 m from the edge of a parking lot. We pulled up and parked. We walked the edge of the parking lots at various depths from the edge until we covered all the ground within 20m. There was one small promising depression that turned up empty. We then swept the area with a metal detector which should have been able to penetrate the 2cm BGL mentioned in the cap log. We ended up giving up on this. We had no intentions of digging up the hospital lawn without knowing where to look on this day. Maybe someone else will turn it up and we'll return again someday I'm sure. Thanks OFHT!
