Since we had a little bit of extra time on our way home on holiday Monday of the May long weekend, we decided to make a few detours along the way. This was one of them. And WOW what a spot!

We parked as far as I dared take the Corolla then walked over from there. A friendly fellow on a quad offered us a ride, but we were okay walking.

We followed the steep trail up to a magnificent viewpoint and [FOUND] this cap right nearby. Wow, awesome!

Another amazing spot that I wouldn't have visited had it not been for the brass cap! Thanks!

My wife and I hiked up the hill (as if there is only one!) overlooking Abraham Lake to find GCAAD4. As we descended I spotted this survey marker and decided to check it against the BCP database to date. Sure enough it was featured back in 2011. Bonus! This is new ground for me, as I've never logged a cache twice.

I walked a little further than I had to to get to this cap and the nicely seasoned cache that's hidden near by, but, really, as far as I'm concerned, that's part of the point of capping and caching in the first place. It was a glorious afternoon weather-wise and the walk up the small incline to this one was fun. Although I managed to walk right past the cap once, I also managed to find it on the my second pass and chuckled to myself, wondering how it was I didn't actually trip over it on the first pass.

This has got to be one of the best cap locations I've been to and I thank you very much OFTH for luring me out to this memorable spot on the earth!

Took some pictures at the cliffs near this cap, I didn't realize how high the cliff was and quickly backed off from the edge. Lady sloth scared me by sitting near the edge admiring the lake. Thanks for the cap.
