This cap is easy to spot now, but I wonder if that will be true all summer--a large anthill is developing completely surrounding it! We feared it would annoy the residents greatly to lay the GPS beside the cap for photos, but they took it in stride. Those are uncharacteristically tolerant ants, but we were grateful as we'd already felt their wrath earlier in the day! We stumbled onto a similar cap at the Fort George site, too! Thanks for a well placed and unique BCP, outforthehunt!

LOL, methinks there is an error in the elevation for this one... or else I was waaaaaay out!

Narloth and I came to Fort George/Buckingham House for our first ever visit thanks to the event that was going on today and thanks to the location of this cap. We had a great time exploring the old fort sites and we even spotted a similar benchmark over at Fort George. At Buckingham House, we found the cap quickly but we noticed that quite a few ant have recently moved in nearby... I hope they weren't too angry that we were taking photos of their new house. Thanks for a cap that is a little different from the usual cap!
