This cap will be remembered for the early start to the day, the long drive to get here, a frosty but not cold morning, and a walk through an area that few people would ever set foot on, especially for the purpose of a short hike through the woods. There was none of the snow that had fallen overnight in the south of the province, but conditions had been ideal to form a coat of hoar frost on everything making for some picturesque scenery here, as well as much of the drive north. Getting to the cap site required some careful navigation in many spots, this really is a boggy area with quite a bit of open water - would not want to come here in the springtime as the name might become even more appropriate.

A highlight of the walk over to the cap had to be the owl that unexpectedly flew from his tree perch and proceeded to crisscross the route we were following landing after each short slight across the opening.

I believe it was a Northern Hawk Owl.

Rode on quad with Aeropat to the CAP. This was a perfect finish to the weekend of events. A beautiful area and nice trail to cap for an easy find. Offered my ride to Coolcat21 and walked back with VP. The quaders came back to get us after VP and I had a nice hike 3/4 ways back so we would not get caught in the rain that never happened in our location. Thanks OFTH for giving us the opportunity to find this BCP. TFTC!
