After trudging up the Fortress road with our bikes, we stopped off for this nice quick brass cap find. We [FOUND] it quickly - in fact, it was hard to miss! A nice stop on the way to Fortress Lake. Thanks!

After my enjoyable little outing up Little Beehive at Lake Louise I decided to head down and check out the newer Fortress cap. I found the situation largely unchanged as described in few earlier logs.

Oh well, I hit the trail and enjoyed the hard packed road way through eleven or twelve switchbacks to GZ and the AGL cap. What a splendid spot with plenty of wild flowers and awesome views of the very familiar surrounding peaks. Just a terrific spot for a cap - thanks OFTH for setting it up!

Similar to Mr. Canoehead's experience, the GPS showed a 14 - 15 km round trip with 500 - 600 metres of elevation.
