I found the situation largely unchanged as described in few earlier logs. Oh well, I hit the trail and enjoyed the hard packed road way through eleven or twelve switchbacks to GZ and the AGL cap. What a splendid spot with plenty of wild flowers and awesome views of the very familiar surrounding peaks. Just a terrific spot for a cap - thanks OFTH for setting it up! Similar to Mr. Canoehead's experience, the GPS showed a 14 - 15 km round trip with 500 - 600 metres of elevation. 2015-08-09T20:00:00 Write note Sears Tower BCP676 - Fortress I was hoping to get this one today.
