There were kids everywhere, doing what kids do best: run, jump, scream, dash, fall and do it all over again in a different order. Good on them! I'd seen context shots of this one before arriving and was expecting a dead easy find, but you know that huge X in the grass has faded a lot and I had to work a bit to find the cap. Poor me, eh? The newer of the two caps we hadn't found was set up for the recent mega. As we mentioned in our email, don't know why the elevations between the posted and our GPSr differ by such amount. We had gone up to Cold Lake on Tuesday July 5th to attend the Sails, Rails & Tails 2016 (WESTCAN6) Mega event. Then stayed over at the RV park we were at, for another week to do some more caching and take in the Cold Lake Air Show the following weekend. We logged a lot of caches found and with the satellite event in places like Elk Point and Glendon were also able to find some of the Brass Caps in Cold Lake and area.
