This one had a couple of potential holes it could have been hiding in but I found it in relatively short order. [FOUND] 2016-12-05T20:00:00 Found it Sleepy_hollow BCP748 - Oyen Airport We ended up getting a later start from town this morning than usual, but we selected a route that was snow free all the way to the cap site. Once at the cap site the crew made quick work of any needed excavation and cleaning. We each took turns of taking a money shot of the brass and checking out the interesting construction materials used in pulling together the near by aircraft hangars. A great little spot for sure. Aided by the marker post, and clear instructions, it wasn't long before this previously unfound cap was unearthed and we had our first taste of brass for the day. TFTCap ofth! 2016-12-04T20:00:00 Found it CanadianRockies BCP748 - Oyen Airport Posted: N51° 20.261W110° 29.150 Three of us (including Sleepy_hollow and Strider's Ride) spent a long but fruitful day cruising the roads of southeastern Alberta. We left Calgary just after 7 a.m. and returned about 13 hours later. With western Alberta getting hit by snow, we had surprisingly nice weather for most of the trip. We did encounter some flurries later in the afternoon and early evening, necessitating some careful driving, but we were well prepared and had no problems. I added three brass caps to my collection, and we picked up a number of regular caches as well. Using the helpful measurements in the hint, we poked around with a screwdriver and hit something hard...hopefully brass rather than a big rock. Fortunately, the ground was soft and we easily were able to remove a couple inches of soil to expose the cap. Strider's Ride did a bit of a spit shine, and the marker was ready to be photographed.
