Once near our parking spot it was a short 40 - 50 metre walk towards the cap site. At GZ there are two holes - the more westerly has a survey spike and the hole a few metres to the east contains the cap - thanks OFTH! 2017-05-07T20:00:00 Found it Strider's Ride BCP776 Slave-Dyke Cap Sleepy_hollow was keen to cross the water filled ditch but I felt taking the long way around through the residential area might be a bit less adventurous. From our parking spot, the cap was merely a hop, skip and jump of the fence away, and quickly located next to the pathway. No Bruins in site today so I wandered up with my trusty shovel and cleared this one off. Turns out there was a dime on the center of the cap (a trick we used to setup an instrument or a backsite on the absolute center) left over so I am a dime, and 1 more Brass Cap richer. I dug it up properly so anyone around Slave Lake between now and May 7 can drive up to the playground and wander up and do your thing without tools. Thks OFTH for this aptly named cap.
