I wandered into the ravine and grabbed a puzzle cache by mwellman i had solved years ago and never collected. I then parked on a residential street and walked through the walkway. I admit I was seriously stumped here. I was not ready to walk a block and collect my tools just yet. I decided to look up context photos and then do the alignment. (thanks CC21) After I figured out where it should be I realized it was covered up very well with dead grass. i kicked at some grass and popped off a perfect piece of willow that covered the cap wonderfully. After arriving in Edmonton fairly early this morning, our first stop of the day proved to be a quick cap find. TFTCap ofth! 2017-05-06T20:00:00 Found it Black Shark BCP780 Millwoods Rd We heard about the finding of this cap from gumbyphv who came from Red Deer to help the Edmonton cappers with this tough one! <img src="/images/icons/icon_smile_wink.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> As we approached from the northeast we were trying to make alignments we had seen in Coolcat21's excellent context photo (thank you so much!). Nothing was working until we topped the little rise and found another manhole cover of the type we sought. Then everything clicked and Mrs Shark looked down at a divot...but it was just a cut down tree. Wait! What is that peeking out? A slice of tree was lifted to reveal a green painted cap! Too funny, but the wood shows up better than the cap so we replaced it to assist other hunters. The measurements in the description for this cap are outdated but Coolcat21's context photo makes sense of all the manhole covers (there's a whole herd or crop of them...are they fauna or flora?) and will guide you well.
